I just decorated our baby’s bedroom. It’s been a fun project. Here are a few ideas that made it possible.
A. Brighten up the Window. A window treatment will change the whole room in an instant. If you start with one thing- make it the window!
B. Create a story book nook. Stick the chair in the corner, hang a painting and put up a shelf. How hard is that? Not at all. It gives the room a cozy feeling and provides you with a place to spend some quality time.
C. Keep it organized. Totes, baskets, drawers, and labels make life better. If everything has a place, it is so easy to keep it clean (even when the kids tear it apart 5 times a day). The blankets have a box, the toys have a bin, the bath time supplies have a tote, and even the diapers have their own home. This room is the fastest one in the whole house to clean up.
D. Cover up big spaces. The close line is such a fun idea for two reasons. 1st – because it cost a grand total of about $2 and 2nd – because with just one simple design, I filled up a HUGE blank wall. 
E. Do it on a Budget. Buy things on sale and at thrift stores, use what you already have, and MAKE the rest. This entire room was put together for less than $500 (that’s INCLUDING the furniture).
